About
Originally from Nottinghamshire, I came to London in 1989 after completing a two-year City and Guilds catering course. I have always had a passion for cooking, my grandmother being my main influence. I think that the way food is evolving, with different trends and through a variety of cultures, is very exciting
I have gained a great deal of food knowledge through working in restaurants such as Scott's of Mayfair and Harvey Nichols in Knightsbridge. I have always found it easy to motivate myself and my team, where food is concerned, as I find it so satisfying.
After working alongside an excellent pastry-chef, I became very interested in cake decorating. Therefore, in 1996, I decided to attend a three-year cake decorating course, where I discovered another aspect of food.
With this new found knowledge, I formed a cake business which has grown by word of mouth. I have created cakes for a variety of occasions including birthdays, weddings and anniversaries. I am especially proud of creating a "BOND" themed cake for a BAFTA's evening.
I am currently the head chef at an international law firm in the City of London. This is a challenging, but very rewarding, role. The partners I cook for are very demanding, but appreciate good food and service. This is a bonus, as I get to know the people I cook for. I have established myself in catering, for private dinners, canapé parties, buffets as well as creating outstanding celebration cakes. I pride myself, not only for creating excellent food, but also on providing an exceptional service to the client.
